Our Vision
Our heart is to see the people of South Tyneside live life in all its fullness, with Jesus at the centre.
Jesus loves South Tyneside and us passionate people that call this beautiful part of the north east home. Made up of unique communities, we have a rich heritage of industry, faith and culture. However, there’s a lot of pain and hurt as well. Thankfully that’s not the end the of the story, as God is bringing vibrant, colourful life to the people and communities here. He’s using his Church to do this, and we’re excited to be a part of his restoration plan.

God has invited us to be a compassionate, biblically-based community church, empowered by the Holy Spirit to be a beacon of hope and light to the people of South Tyneside. We are called to go and point to the hope, freedom, forgiveness, restoration, healing and joy that is offered by Jesus, and to help disciple those around us to know, love and follow him. As we do this, we’re being transformed by the Holy Spirit to become all that God created us to be, and learning to live life in all its fullness, with Jesus at the centre.
We are a people on a mission to see God’s Kingdom come in our communities. We are shaped by God’s Word and the presence of his Spirit. We are generous and open-handed with all God gives us, as we are equipped to go and create spaces where he is worshiped, friendships are formed, those in need are cared for, and those yet to know Jesus are introduced to him.
We may be preparing to plant the church right now, but we are expectant for what God is going to do, and the growth and multiplication that will happen, as we obediently and humbly serve him. We dream of one in three people here living life with Jesus at the centre.
Jesus himself says: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)
We long to see relationships restored, addictions broken, the sick healed, the lonely brought into family, and people to know and live out of their identity and authority given by Jesus. And in so doing, to see God’s powerful, joyful, colourful, hope-filled, vibrant kingdom break out in the communities of South Tyneside. We want you to know you are seen, known, valued and loved by Jesus, and we’d love you to join us.
